1-0 (21mins): Rovers took the lead as a cross from Morten Gamst Pedersen from the left, caused confusion in the Reading defence. Shabani Nonda poked the ball into the body of Marcus Hahnemann, who fractured his hand in the process, before the ball then came back off Nonda and bounced towards the far post. Benni McCarthy had the simple task of tapping home into an empty net from close range.

1-1 (36 mins): Reading drew level not long before the break, from a set piece. Stephen Hunt , swung in a corner from the right, which went all the way to the back post, where it was converted by the head of Ki-Hyeon Seol.

2-1 (56 mins): Blackburn regained the lead just before the hour mark. Stephen Warnock made good progress down the left, and his cross from the byline should have been converted by Morten Gamst Pedersen, but his effort rebounded off the post, allowing David Bentley to score instead.

2-2 (58 mins): Reading were back in the game again just two minutes later. Ulises De La Cruz cut in from the left and delivered a curling cross, which fell perfectly on to the head of Kevin Doyle, who nodded past Brad Friedel.

3-2 (67 mins): The home side took the ascendancy for the third time in this frantic game. Brett Emerton charged down the right, and his flighted cross was headed into the net by substitute Matt Derbyshire, the youngster scoring with his first touch.

3-3 (77 mins): There was more to come from Reading though, and they equalized for the third time in the match thanks to another set piece. This time Leroy Lita's free kick, came back off the wall, but dropped for Brynjar Gunnarsson, who fired home into the bottom left corner.

1-0 (32 mins): The home side took the lead to give themselves a great chance of European qualification. Nicolas Anelka advanced into the box and slipped a pass into Gary Speed who slotted it home.

1-1 (37 mins): Villa levelled in style five minutes later through a stunning strike from Craig Gardner. A long punt down the centre of the pitch from Thomas Sorensen was headed to the right by John Carew. Gardner let the ball drop over his shoulder, watching it all the way onto his foot, and hit a vicious dipping volley past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

2-1 (58 mins): Kevin Davies restored the home side's advantage just before the hour mark. A long ball into the box was headed clear by Olof Mellberg but only was far as Idan Tal who rose highest to nod the ball down to Davies. The header down flicked off a defender but it did not sufficiently change the direction of the ball. Davies controlled the knock-down before skipping round a defender and slotting it home.

2-2 (81 mins): Villa grabbed another equaliser nine minutes from time thanks to some great work from Ashley Young. Young picked up the ball from a throw and delivered a teasing cross, Ivan Campo hooked the ball clear but it fell to Luke Moore who crashed a volley past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

0-1 (50 mins): Everton took a surprise lead on 50 minutes, Mikel Arteta brought the ball forward and found Leon Osman on the right. His pass found James Vaughan, who coolly slotted the ball home past Petr Cech.

1-1 (57mins): Chelsea were back in the game just seven minutes later, in slightly controversial circumstances. Paulo Ferreira appeared to foul Mikel Arteta, but play was waved on, allowing Shaun Wright-Phillips to cross and Didier Drogba struck the ball down low into the bottom left corner.

0-1 (2 mins): The home side got off to the worst possible start as Zhi Zheng charged down the right by-line. The Chinese international's cut back was flicked-on by Darren Bent, into the path of Matt Holland. Holland nudged the ball into the net, via a slight deflection off a Liverpool defender.

1-1 (62mins): Liverpool had to wait an hour before getting back level. A long ball forward found Dirk Kuyt, in the area, and his header back across the box was converted by Xabi Alonso who fired low into the net, despite only coming on as a substitute a minute earlier.

1-2 (72mins): Recently relegated Charlton found themselves ahead again at Anfield. This time Ben Thatcher's forward run caused problems, his shot, was partially saved by reserve keeper Daniele Padelli. The rebound fell to Darren Bent, who tucked the ball away into the near corner of the net.

2-2 (90mins): Liverpool saved a last day embarrassment, by scoring a late equaliser. Madjid Bougherra handled a cross into the area, and it was left to Harry Kewell to convert from twelve yards. The penalty was scored off the inside of the left post.

0-1 (44 mins): Almost as if playing to a script, Carlos Tevez popped up with the only goal of the game to ensure West Ham's survival. Bobby Zamora found space down the left after a Tevez pass, although the attempted return was hit against Tevez by Wes Brown. The Argentinean was first to the looping ball, placing his shot past Edwin van der Sar in the United goal.

1-0 (34 mins): The home side took the lead just after the half hour mark when Jonathan Woodgate slipped the ball into Mark Viduka and he crisply finished past Antti Niemi.

1-1 (42 mins): Fulham were gifted an equaliser when youngster David Wheater allowed Simon Davies to beat him to the ball and Davies hit a dipping volley over Mark Schwarzer.

2-1 (44 mins): David Wheater made up for his error when he headed in Fabio Rochemback's cross to put the home side back in front just before half time.

3-1 (47 mins): Some poor Fulham defending allowed Mark Viduka to get his second of the match before he went on to miss a host of chances for his hat-trick. Dong-Gook Lee slipped the ball in and Viduka controlled the ball before holding off a couple of defenders to score. Despite Viduka losing the ball temporarily after he has collected the pass from Lee, the South Korean still gets the assist on the last pass to goalscorer ruling.

0-1 (14 mins): Paul Scharner's neatly placed finish put Wigan in the driving seat for survival. Kevin Kilbane cut the ball back from the left flank and Scharner guided it past Paddy Kenny.

1-1 (38 mins): Jonathan Stead bravely headed the equaliser, latching onto a Phil Jagielka cross. He got to the ball first to guide it home but he and Wigan defender Ryan Taylor felt the full force of keeper Mike Pollitt who took everything but the ball.

1-1 (44 mins): Phil Jagielka was the villain of the day shortly afterwards though when he needlessly handled a right-wing cross. Former Sheffield United defender David Unsworth stepped up and scored the goal that would relegate his old club and save his new one.

1-0 (10 mins): Robbie Keane emphatically gave Tottenham the lead ten minutes into the game. Jermaine Jenas scooped the ball up over the defence and Keane Volleyed it home.

2-0 (32 mins): In form Dimitar Berbatov added a second on the half hour mark. Anthony Gardner played the ball into Aaron Lennon who flicked it into the path of the Bulgarian. Berbatov turned and smashed the ball into the net. Despite Berbatov losing the ball temporarily after he has collected the pass from Lennon, the England man still gets the assist on the last pass to goalscorer ruling.
